Can ya’ll believe it’s already 2018?! Once day, Prince was singing about us partying like it’s 1999. Then it came, went, and the next thing I know, it’s almost 2 decades later. That’s wild!

Let me tell ya’ll, 2017 was “The Year of the Push Through”. I pushed through doubt, exhaustion, frustration, and finances. When I got too tired, I had to learn how to rest, instead of quitting. A highlight of 2017 was being interviewed for Good Morning America (GMA). I got an email from a producer on the show on April 2nd, thinking it was a late April Fool’s joke. A few hours later, flights were booked and I was told that they would be at my house in less than a week. “Who’s house? MY house? They want to interview ME??! SHUT UUUUP!!” I was shocked, humbled, and overjoyed all at the same time. It took me awhile to stop asking myself, “Why would GMA want to come here?” and start saying, “Well, why wouldn’t they want to come here?!” I had to push past my own understanding and realize that God was operating on His own agenda. While money was tight in many moments of 2017, we were still able to travel. It showed me that you really don’t have to have a lot of money to travel past your doorstep. A little saving, discipline, and great airline deals will go much further than you think. It took me to New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas this past year.

In 2017, I also did a lot of things I have repeatedly said that I could not do. At least, not without hiring a gang of people to do it. I never imagined I would have found the time to design a website and start a You Tube channel. I managed to pull it off, and even recorded a few videos to boot! “Go Shayyyy, go Shayyy!” I pushed myself and worked really, really, hard on developing The Prince + The P this year. I took a year off from my photography business so that I could really see what I was capable of, and a lot of greatness came out of it. A lot of greatness came out of ME.

2018 is going to be “The Year of Intent”. I am being more intentional with my time, setting very deliberate boundaries, building more purposeful relationships, and focusing on more “real time” moments with my family. I’m claiming it ALL!! Happiest New Year, Frans!
